Let’s get real. The first step is to be honest, beginning with self. There is nothing as sweet as having a clear conscience. In this world of competitiveness, people are sometimes tempted to cast all ethical considerations aside. They somehow think that playing by the rule of “anything goes” will win for them. They couldn’t be further from the truth.
What people fail to realize, especially leaders, is that they are jeopardizing far more than they imagine. They stand to lose the respect of their peers. When you lose respect, your integrity is compromised. Integrity is the first thing that people look for in a leader especially if you are contemplating doing business with that person. If your integrity is a no-show, you run the risk of losing highly competent people that can move your business to the next level.
There are people out there who have made a profit by taking advantage of those who are in a traditional business. However, in network marketing this kind of behavior is not tolerated. People will, “chew you up, spit you out and leave you and leave you in the dust” it they even sense that your integrity is shady. No one likes shady characters and they definitely don’t like to be made a fool of.
Another step in getting real is having a clear understanding of trust. Trust is a very important element in building relationships, especially if you are trying to build a strong link between yourself as the upline leader and your team to move your business in a positive direction. If people trust you, the sky is the limit as to what they will do for you
The bottom line is, having integrity and being trustworthy is what will attract people to you and your business. With that said, "get real." Be honest with yourself and others. After all, it is the best policy.
To your success,
